Lets see where Pakistan was before President Musharraf...

There was no freedom of the press nor was the judiciary independent. As a matter of fact, there have never been democracy in Pakistan. There have always been eras of military and civilian dictatorships.

"Indeed, Pakistan today is a very different country from the one Musharraf took over eight years ago. In 1999 Pakistan had PTV, the only TV news source in the country at the time. Since then, Musharraf has allowed for a blossoming of free and independent media – a force with which, ironically, he now finds himself in contention." Moreover, "The national economy was in a state of bankruptcy and diplomatically, the country was totally isolated. The nation stood at the brink of being declared a failed state, or a terrorist state,"

I ask those who don't support him to at least show some respect. He has been there for us and have always protected Pakistan from all threats. Hes the person, who was up at night so everyone else can sleep in peace at night. I want to thank him for all his hard work and dedication to Pakistan. If nothing else, people should at least respect a highly decorated official with awards like Imtiaz-i-Sanad.

When a person joins the military, he is dedicating his life for the country and is always ready to give his life for the country. People should also realize how hard it must be for him to see your country being used and abused, right in front of your eyes. I hope he stays firm and continue to protect Pakistan.
